Osaamistavoitteet

The course aims to examine the characteristics of power electronic components and power electronics circuits in laboratory conditions, the students are intended to apply theory to practice.

After completion of the course the student will be able to use oscilloscope to measure electrical variables. The student will understand what meters and instruments are to be used when measuring DC or AC electric quantities.

The student will be able to write a written report on the laboratory practice. After having completed the course the student is able to produce a logical report.

In the seminar the student will make a presentation on his/her chosen topic. After completion of the course the student is able to prepare the presentation.

The contents and the assessment criteria of the course may be different depending on the teacher of the course.

Arviointikriteerit, tyydyttävä (1)

1. The student is able to prepare aided a measurement circuit
2. The student is able to choose aided the proper instruments to the circuit and the student will be able to connect an oscilloscope to measure the proper electrical quantities
3. The student is able to produce a labroratory report according to the instructions
4. The student is able to prepare a seminar presentation and give the presentation

Arviointikriteerit, hyvä (3)

1. The student is able to prepare a measuring circuit according to instructions by using the cables with proper colors
2. The student is able to choose the proper instruments for the measurements and he/she will be able to connect the oscilloscope to measure the desired electrical quantities
3. The report written by the student will show that the student has understood the laboratory practice and has performed the measurements correctly
