Measurement ProjectLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The student is able to design a complex measurement system including sensor selection in order to measure a defined physical quantity as well as the design of measurement electronics and the readout and analysis of the measurement data.
The actual topic and content of the course may change slightly depending on the teacher.

Content

1. Sensor selection and/or design
2. Design of the measurement electronics
3. Data transfer
4. Data analysis

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

1. The student understands the properties of different sensors and is able to select a suitable sensor to his/her application,
2. The student is able to design the necessary measurement electronics.
3. The student is able to design the data transfer system.
4. The student is able to use the LabView software in the data analysis.
