Objective
The student has knowledge of water retention and flow in soils, hydraulics of groundwater systems, groundwater quality, groundwater use and modelling.
Content
1. Soil and groundwater, Water balance, Hydraulic properties of soils, Formation of groundwater, Flow equations and solutions, Pumping tests and methods, Groundwater quality and modelling.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
1. Evaluation criteria for content; Soil and ground water -Water balance -Hydraulic properties of soils. The student shall be able to recognize, define and describe central elements of water balance and pictured hydraulic properties of soils.
2. Evaluation criteria for content; Formation of ground water -Flow equations and solutions.
The student shall show that he/she can come up with logical categorizations and relevant problem solutions. The student shall be able to name, list and relate to central elements of flow and formation of groundwater utilizing flow equations and solutions.
3. Evaluation criteria for content; Pumping tests and methods -Ground water quality and modelling. The student shall be able to label, repeat and match central elements of how pumping tests are performed and utilizing correct methods to do so, as well as be able to label and picture different methods for groundwater quality label and modelling.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
1. Evaluation criteria for content; Soil and ground water -Water balance -Hydraulic properties of soils. The student shall be able to compose, propose and create central parts of water balance and pictured hydraulic properties of soils.
2. Evaluation criteria for content; Formation of ground water -Flow equations and solutions. The student shall show that he/she can formulate and compare to problem relevant solutions. The student shall be able to name, list and relate to central parts of flow and formation of groundwater utilizing flow equations and solutions.
3. Evaluation criteria for content; Pumping tests and methods -Ground water quality and modelling. The student shall be able to calculate, repeat and solve central parts of how pumping tests are performed and utilizing correct methods to do so, as well as be able to compare and arrange different methods for ground water quality label and modelling.

1. Evaluation criteria for content; Soil and ground water -Water balance -Hydraulic properties of soils. The student shall be able to estimate, assess and repeat central parts of water balance and pictured hydraulic properties of soils.
2. Evaluation criteria for content; Formation of ground water -Flow equations and solutions. The student shall show that he/she compare and select logical categorizations and relevant problem solutions. The student shall be able to construct, design and propose central parts of flow and formation of groundwater utilizing flow equations and solutions.
3. Evaluation criteria for content; Pumping tests and methods -Ground water quality and modelling. The student shall be able to set up, collect and evaluate central parts of how pumping tests are performed and utilizing correct methods to do so, as well as be able to predict and rate different methods for ground water quality label and modelling.
