Objective

The student will be able to form mass and energy balances and solve them.
The student will be able to understand functioning of heat exchangers and evaporators.

The student can apply the calculation procedure of balances for practical problems.
The student is able to dimension the heat exchangers and evaporators.

Content

1. Mass and energy balances and the ability of searching values needed in calculations.

2. Thermal conduction, convection, heat exchangers, dimensioning of heat exchangers, evaporation, dimensioning of evaporator.

1. The student is able to form and solve mass and energy balances for common technical processes.

2. The student understands the concepts of thermal conduction, convection and thermal radiation. The student understands basics of dimensioning of heat exchangers and evaporators.
