Objective

Students are able to apply the communication characteristic of media to professional use both in English and in Finnish, to utilise media in socio-pedagogical work and to analyse critically both electronic publishing and the printed word. Students are able to produce relevant documentation using accurate and fluent language.

Content

Utilising media in the social field, social communication, critical approach to communication, the communicative meaning of image and text, influential means of pictorial narrative, making a video manuscript, video filming and editing, applying media education to socio-pedagogical work. The Finnish language in professional use.
