Objective

Students are familiar with the central organisational structures of health care and their leadership systems.
Students are aware of their responsibility for self-management and their skills development at work.
Students become competent to act as responsible members of multiprofessional and multicultural teams.
Students are able to develop their overall responsibility of the client's/patient’s care as members of the workgroup.
Students understand the significance of leadership to the functioning of the workgroup and to the quality of care.
Students are familiar with the basics of financing in health care and the demands on cost efficiency.
Students are aware of and understand the principles of entrepreneurship.
Students understand the social significance and responsibility of their profession.

Structures and features of health care organisations.
Leadership systems in health care.
Self-management.
Skills development at work.
Membership of multiprofessional and multicultural teams.
Membership of workgroups and responsibility for their development.
Leadership and quality of nursing.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Students
-can describe some central structures in health care organisations and know about the leadership systems related to them
-bear responsibility for the development of their professional expertise
-understand the principles of multiprofessional and multicultural activities
-understand their overall responsibility for the care of the client/patient
-are familiar with the basics of financing in health care
-understand the principles of multiprofessionalism
-identify the demands on cost effectiveness in health care
-are familiar with the basics of entrepreneurship
-understand the social significance and responsibility of their profession

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students
-can describe central structures in health care and know about the leadership systems related to them
-understand the significance of self-management to their professional development
-bear responsibility for the development of their professional expertise
-have basic competence to work in multiprofessional or multicultural teams
-understand their overall responsibility for the care of the client/patient
-are familiar with the basics of financing in health care
-understand the principles of multiprofessionalism
-understand the basics of entrepreneurship
-understand the social significance and responsibility of their profession

Students
-can describe the central structures in health care and know the leadership systems related to them
-understand the significance of self-management to their professional development and embrace it as a process
-understand the significance of multiprofessionalism and their role in it as well as have competence to work in multiprofessional or multicultural teams
-bear responsibility for the development of their professional expertise
-understand their overall responsibility for the care of the client/patient
-are familiar with the basics of financing in health care and know how to apply it to examples in nursing practice
-are familiar with the basics of entrepreneurship
-understand the social significance and responsibility of their profession
