Objective
Students can explain the core concepts of nutritional guidance. Students know how to guide clients/patients of different ages on following diets in accordance with the nutritional recommendations. Students identify the risks of malnutrition and know how to use the measurements of nutritional state. As part of nursing, students plan, implement and evaluate the nutritional guidance and treatment required by the client/patient in cooperation with a multiprofessional network of experts. Students know how to apply nutritional knowledge related to lifestyle education in accordance with the professional requirements.

Children and adults’ need of nutrients
Interpretation of nutritional anamnesis and factors related to choice of food
Evaluation of nutritional state
Nutritional guidance regarding major public health challenges
Special diets and nutritional treatment of challenging client/patient groups
