Objective

The purpose of the Industrial Experience module is to ensure that the student getting an engineering degree with the emphasis on HPVAC construction works with tasks that correspond to his or her degree. During the Industrial Experience module the student will get to know his or her tasks well enough to be able to work as a stand-in during vacations or the like.

Content

The positions available for students after graduation are, among others, project manager, supervisor, tender calculator, designer, technical sales / support person, maintenance manager, technical property manager.
The student working in one of the above mentioned or similar positions is to complete an on-the-job learning project, covering a whole work process, to be reported on. The subject of the project is chosen among the daily working tasks of the student, but to complete the report on the description and analysis of the task the student will have to acquire wider knowledge of the task and understand the background of the task, the reasons for it being performed in a certain way, and the connections of the task to the operations of the company.
The working tasks performed during the on-the-job learning module are to be of the nature listed above. Internship with manual labour (such as installations) is not an acceptable alternative for this module.
During the on-the-job period the employer, the student and a representative of the university of applied sciences will engage in a discussion to determine the professional ambitions of the student and how they could be realized.
The student will be given instructions about how to report the module.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student has performed the required working tasks and reported according to instructions. The student still needs to develop his or her performance and attitude.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student has performed the required working tasks and reported according to instructions. The course is completed on an average level.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has performed the required working tasks and reported according to instructions. The course is completed on an excellent level.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student has performed the required working tasks and reported according to instructions. The student still needs to develop his or her performance and attitude.
