Objective
The student understands how music affects us in many ways and how that relates to learning music and enhancing well-being. The student can apply this knowledge when constructing activities for music learning in group situations. They are also able to recognise additional individual needs of how to support learning and recognise the pedagogical actions and approaches this requires. The student’s professional pedagogical practice is gradually constructed utilising various ways of creative and artistic expression, composition and improvisation early on in musical learning with the people they work with. They are able to focus on opening possibilities for learning in music and base their practice on learner-centred approach. They are able to reflect on the knowledge they encounter critically linking theoretical and practical knowledge about music education and to use this process in building their pedagogical thinking onwards.
