Objective

The student
• understands the basics of rigging characters and other elements for animation in a 2D environment
• is able to create animation systems using programming for different purposes and produce animation using them
• is able to produce parametric animation elements for efficient production.

• Preparation of graphic elements for efficient animation production.
• Learning about plug-ins and implementation methods for animation software
• Programming animation systems

Qualifications

Basics of Motion Graphics

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to prepare graphic elements for animation by creating advanced action logics and produce animation using them.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students are able to prepare graphic elements for animation by creating complex action logics for the animator. They are able to produce animation using the prepared elements, and understand their potential to enhance motion graphics and animation productions.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students are able to prepare high quality graphic elements for animation by creating complex action logics, and make them easy to use and appropriate for animation. They are able to produce high quality animation using the elements produced, and to exploit the potential of programming to enhance motion graphics and animation productions.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Students are able to prepare graphic elements for animation by creating advanced action logics, and produce animation using them.
