Objective
Students are familiar with the amputations of lower and upper limb, and the underlying causes for them as well as the prosthetic solutions for them. Students know the levels of amputations in reference to functional capacity and are able to use them in the fabrication process of prostheses. Students know how to plan applicable prosthetic solutions. Students can measure and fabricate the prosthesis under supervision. Students apply their knowledge of components and materials in many ways in the fabrication process. They can make alignment and fitting of the prosthesis and instruct the clients on the use of prostheses and evaluate their fittingness to the client.
