Objective
By the end of the course, students will:
* be familiar with economic trends and be able to interpret them in the industry he works in. * know the principles valuable in forecasting and know where valid information can be found
*have a good general picture of the global economy and his industry in Finland and internationally
*be familiar with the principles of customer-based business thinking and with the strategic planning process.
The student will be able to:
• use the information sources valuable in his industry
• *describe and analyse company strategy, goals and competitive position
• *define its purchasing function seen from the competition angle
• describe purchasing strategy and make budgeting plans for it.
