Objective

This entity includes the following phases of the Master’s Project: project planning, building an information base, practical execution of the project, constructing the entity of the project, and writing the project report.

- Students can structure a research plan and framework for the project
- Students can search for, find, analyze and interpret information and evaluate it critically.
- Students can apply the research method of their choice expediently and in adherence to research ethical principles and they can evaluate the choice of research method.
- Students can operate within networks that are relevent to their project and utilize the networks and partnerships in their project.
- Students know the essential concepts of their project in English. They can employ research and papers published in English as part of their information base and write an executive summary and other short texts in English.
- Students can structure their research report and communicate about the development project with goal orientation and respect towards the target group of the study.
- If relevant, students can execute a structured, high-quality artistic, pedagogical or other component as part of the Master’s project.

Content

Structuring a research plan and framework. Responsible project management, execution and building of the information base. Key terminology in English and discussion on English-language sources. Communicating about the project in Finnish and English. Extensive networking and reporting on the project. If relevant, producing an artistic, pedagogical or other component as part of the Master’s project.

Students have the necessary professional competence to achieve the learning outcomes.
