Objective

The student can critically evaluate and justify the practices of his or her clinical field using evidence-based information. The student can explain and validate different levels, roles and responsibilities in evidence based practice. The student can systematically search, utilise and evaluate condensed research information and critically consider its significance in developing consistent practices. The student can utilise and critically compare different methods and supporting structures in the implementation of evidence and in the evaluation of its effectiveness.

- Generation, synthesis, dissemination and implementation of information

The course Clinical expertise in social and health care or other recognition of prior learning.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

After completing the course, the student can evaluate the practices of his or her clinical field and develop them using current evidence-based information. The student knows different levels, roles and responsibilities in evidence based practice. The student can search and evaluate condensed research information and understand its significance in developing consistent practices. The student knows different methods and supporting structures in the implementation of evidence and in the evaluation of its effectiveness.
