Osaamistavoitteet

The student writes a Maturity Test in the field of his/her Master’s Thesis
• to show thorough familiarisation with the subject; as well as
• to show proficiency in the Finnish or Swedish language.
If the language skills specified in Decree 352/2003 8§ are not required, the student shall do the Maturity Test in the English language. This is the case with most of our international Master’s students.

To better serve the purpose of sharing expertise and leveraging the results of the research & development task, i.e. Master’s Thesis, the form of a Maturity Test in this Master’s degree programme is:
* a press release;
* an Executive Summary; or
* an article directed to a professional audience in a professional journal or at a seminar/conference.

Master’s Thesis up to the point where it has been handed in for evaluation.

Arviointikriteeri, hyväksytty/hylätty

To pass the Maturity Test,
1. the student demonstrates a strong command of the topic area of his/her Master's Thesis in writing; and
2. the written language meets the professional standards.
