Methodological Studies and Current Trends in Multimedia IndustryLaajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

The course prepares the participants for writing their Master’s Thesis. The focus of this course in dual: to scan for significant developments in multimedia, and to develop ways of communicating about technology in a professionally convincing manner.
This course equips the participants with research skills of collecting, analysing, mediating knowledge of current technological solutions and their applicability to novel purposes or environments. Knowledge mediation involves the use of research methods in systematic, purposeful and meticulous ways to produce valid and reliable research outcomes. The course also prepares the participants to professional presentation of research outcomes both in oral and academic writing terms.
