Objective

On completion of the course the student will be able to create a CAD model with printout for an HVAC project. The student will have an understanding of the typical CAD systems in building services engineering. The student will have an overall picture of the scope of CAD systems in the various phases of implementing HVAC projects. The student will be able to assess the features and efficiency of the CAD system for planning. The student will be able to use CAD applications in typical HVAC planning tasks.

Content

The most common CAD systems and programmes for planning. Modelling and editing a project with CAD. Product information in a CAD model. Use of Template files. Printing and documents.

Using dimensioning and analysing functions. Creating impact surveys. Printing reports and quantity lists. Using dimensioning and text styles.
