Objective

On completion of the course the student will be familiar with the principles of construction automation systems as well as the control technical solutions of equipment in a building. The student will be able to read technical documents related to the automation system of a building and is able to create the plan drawings of a construction automation system.

Content

HVAC processes, adjustment, control and alarm functions, energy economy, optimization and consumption control, system standards, regulations and technical instructions, drawing symbols and documentation, methods of planning and procurement, usage and maintenance, drawing up control, time and other programs, the market situation, restructuring and update issues as well as other current issues related to the topic.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

With sufficient initial data the student is able to create the most common plan drawings of a construction automation system and is able to repeat the tasks learned during the course. The student completes assignments satisfactorily.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to apply the learned knowledge and skills in new similar tasks. He or she completes assignments satisfactorily and on time.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to compare alternatives and give reasons for his or her choices. The assignments are completed independently and in a professional manner.
