Objective
The student will be familiar with the structure and operation of the basic control circuits in HVAC engineering and the principles of tuning the controls. Furthermore, the student will be able to design and tune the controls. The student will also be able to draw up and interpret control diagrams and descriptions of operation of basic systems.
Content
Fundamentals, principles of operation and structure of an open and closed control circuit, and features of an adjustable process. Operational principles and features of both analogue and digital controls. Basic types of control units and sensors in HVAC engineering, and their features. Principles of drawing up control diagrams and operation descriptions.
Control theory and controls with multiple parameters.

The student knows the effect of closed control on some systems. He or she is able to choose the basic HVAC control systems of a building according to instructions and is able to perform preliminary tuning.
