Objective

The student will be able to implement and test the skills and knowledge acquired during professional studies. The training will deepen the student’s skills, train the student in the tasks in the field, and support the student’s professional development and ability to work independently. The student will be familiar with the practices of working life, and work methods and tools used in real life work environment in his or her own field as well as with the terminology used in the field. During the practical training the student will, in a structured way, become familiar with especially the kind of work tasks that are essential to his or her professional studies, and develop his or her professional know-how and implement all the previously acquired knowledge and skills in working life (as stipulated in Act 256/95, §7 on universities of applied sciences).

Content

Tasks and positions suitable for a practical training in building services engineering are, among others, design tasks, project management and supervisory tasks, control tasks and various assisting expert positions in enterprises and public bodies in the field.

The student will be given instructions by the university of applied sciences about how to report the work-based learning module.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The course will be graded on a pass/fail scale once the student has handed in the work-based learning report and testimonials.
