Objective

The student will be familiar with the major concepts of distribution of electricity, and know how the concepts are interlinked. Moreover, the student will know the features of the devices and actuators used in HVAC systems, lighting solutions and electric heating systems. The student will also understand the major principles of economy and design concerning distribution centre outputs.
The student will be able to design energy-saving electrical HVAC systems, lighting and electric heating system for even larger buildings than a one-family house.

Content

Devices for distribution of electricity, and their qualities. Operational principles and features of electrical actuators in HVAC engineering, equipment for electric heating, and lighting; their energy supply, controls and distribution centre outputs.
Energy-saving electrical solutions in buildings.
