Objective

On completion of this course the student will know his/her future working environment, the digital and print media companies, their products and their interest groups. The student will know the basic processes of media production and their basic concepts. He/she will know how to prepare simple media products both printed and digital.

On completion of this course the student will be able to produce a simple print work. He /she will be able to produce simple www pages using XHTML language.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Students are familiar with the printed and digital media industries and the basic processes of the basics and know how to produce a simple graphical and digital publication.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students are familiar with the printed and digital communications, processes and industry characteristics, are able to identify and evaluate media products and services and are able to produce graphical and digital publication.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students know widely the printed and digital communications processes and characteristics of the industry, are able to identify, evaluate and develop media products and services and are able to produce a graphical and digital publication.
