Objective

The student understands the different definitions of communication and media in respect to different theories and approaches. The student is able to evaluate the content presented through different media channels. The student understands the potential and possible effects new technology and tools can have on human practices taking into account the social nature of humans

The student can analyse communication processes from the perspective of a human being and from the larger perspective of communication. Furthermore, the student is able to choose the correct methods for analysis depending on the reason for which the analysis is done.

- Students are able to structure and separated from the media and communications specifications in the various theories
- The student can explain and describe the communication requirements
- To understand how a holistic view of human beings affect the communications research
- Can explain the reciprocal relationship of the man and the environment
- The awareness and know how to explain the types of communications process models

- The student understands the different theories and methods for analyzing the importance of communication
- The student can explain how a human to a material impact on the social nature of communication

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can take advantage of new technologies, tools and accessories kirjoitaakseen new technology trends and is able to choose the right communications, analysis methods and theories for its investigation. The essay should be clear from the sources of good and critical use. Source is preferably used.
