Profile of the programme
The Chemical Engineering education aims to introduce students to the concepts of chemistry and to provide an understanding of the phenomena and their application. Students understand the unit operations and the overall processes of process engineering, master the balance calculation of processes and are familiar with the process dynamics and control technology. Environmental quality and safety expertise includes sustainable development principles, BAT thinking, knowledge of chemical and process safety and application of environmental law and knowledge of quality management systems. In addition, the focus is on developing general mathematical-scientific capacities as well as general technical know-how, which is a prerequisite for further development of expert knowledge and new learning in professional tasks.

The Chemical Engineering degree is broad-based and suitable for a wide range of tasks; graduated engineers work in e.g. professional or managerial positions, operating tasks, design tasks, research or product development and sales and marketing positions in the chemical industry, in engineering firms of the field, environmental engineering firms, or in related fields.

Access to Master's studies according to the entrance qualifications of the university.
Examination regulations, assessment and grading
Each course assessed using grading 0-5. Grade 0 = fail and grades 1-5 = pass. The assessment criteria are presented in each course description and the actual assessment methods depend on the teacher of the course.
