Objective

After completion of this course the student will know the theory and equipment concerning mixing, membrane separation, enrichment, fluidization, granulation and dust elimination. The student will be familiar with the theory and equipment concerning conveyors, feeders, storing and packing.

After completion of this course the student will be able to dimension, select and scale mechanical mixers. The student will be able to design equipment of enriching, fluidization and granulation. The student will be able to dimension and select appropriate equipment of membrane separation, mist elimination, conveyors, feeders and bins.

Fundamental principles of mixing, membrane separation technology and equipment, enrichment processes and equipment, theory and equipment of granulation and fluidization, fundamentals principles of bulk and package conveyors, feeders and dossiers, storing of bulk and unit material, separation and equipment of dust, basic terminology, methods and materials of packing

More detailed applications of membrane separation and enriching processes (also recycling), more detailed applications and problems in conveyors, feeders and storage bins, problems concerning fine particles and legislation and practice of package recycling and waste disposal
