3D-CAELaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The class consists of CATIA’s Part Design, Assembly Design and Surface Design modules. In addition some analysing tools are learned. Different applications of engineering materials, utilisation of technical diagrams in engineering and functioning of the assemblies are in focus, too.

Content

After passing the class the student can create assemblies, search for components in the www-pages of different companies, make technical documentation and drawings for manufacturing, create surface designs and perform simple analyses of the components and assemblies modelled.

Further information

Class consists of lectures, supervised assignments, assignments made at own time and large assembly design project. The project is a group work.
The class has 2 tests, which both must be passed in order to pass the class. In addition all assignments must be turned in and the project including report approved 100% in order to achieve the grade.
