Objective

The student gets a general view of transportation systems, and learns the basic concepts of transportation systems. He/she knows the basic control systems of different transportations systems, and the basic principles of pricing.

Content

The importance of transportation in logistic chains and as part of delivery in enterprises, different transportation forms and their basic concepts, handling of loads, basic structures of costs in transportation.

The student knows the basics of the most important modes of transport.
The student knows the importance and basics of transportation guidance.
The student knows the basics for the processing of goods by mode of transportation.
The student is familiar with international and domestic transport differences.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student can choose the correct mode of transport to the selected transport event.
The student is familiar with driving arrangements and the key principles for route planning practices.
The student can daisy-chain transport events and knows the combined transport policies.
The student knows the main existing tools that are used in the guidance.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to connect the transport into a larger logistics management.
The student is able to handle the transportation of supply chain and take into account the storage operation.
The student is able to do the route planning domestically and internationally.
The student is able to handle the logistics costs of the supply chain transport.
