Digital Fundamentals, part BLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The student knows basic concepts and essential applications of sequential circuits. He/she knows the essential components of sequential circuits. He can analyze simple synchronous sequential circuits and design them both by hand and using an EDA program. He/she knows the basic concepts of VHDL and can create VHDL descriptions of simple combinatorial and synchronous sequential circuits. He knows the architectures and internal structures of common PLD's and FPGA's.
