Student gains ability to operate and configure client operating system which is used widely in the industry.

Installing, Upgrading, and Migrating to Windows 8 (14 percent)
Deploying Windows 8 (13 percent)
Configuring Hardware and Applications (14 percent)
Configuring Network Connectivity (14 percent)
Configuring Access to Resources (13 percent)
Configuring Mobile Computing (10 percent)
Monitoring and Maintaining Systems that Run Windows 8 (11 percent)
Configuring Backup and Recovery Options (11 percent)

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Installation:
- The student is able to install Windows workstation operating system according to the instructor's instructions;
- The student understands, what kind of installation is needed for different purposes.

Maintenance:
- The student is able to monitor with the help of the instructor when the operating system requires maintenance;
- The student has understanding, what kind of maintenance task is required for the operating system.

Updating:
- The student is able to update the operating system according to the instructor's instructions;
- The student understands why the operating system have to be updated;

Configuration:
- The student is able to configurate with help the operating system work with laptop, tablet and desktop;
- The student understands how the different configurations differ;
