Objective

The course teaches the student the important construction materials and their history, properties, production, use and installiton, maintenance and repair, reuse and recylcing possibilities.

Content

The essential materials are wood and wood products, natural stone, bricks and tiles, blocks and masonry,concrete products, insulation products, building boards, glass, plastic, bitumen, rubber, steel and iron and other metal products. Their codes and abbreviations are also studied.
