Objective

The student understands the meaning hyperstatic structure and can define the degree of hypestatic-ity. The student can solve the bending moment of a hyperstatic structure and choose always the most suitable method. The student understands the principle of plastic hinge and can solve a frame using plastic mechanism method. The student understands the difference between upper – and lower limit methods.
