Objective

Students will know compositios of old paints and old construction materials and structures. They will know the history of painting and colouring and they will be able to relate the working styles to different architectural trends. They will know the laws and regulations related to building protection.

Students will be able to carry out a restauration work and they will be able to utilise appropriate research methods in the work.

Content

Old construction materials, physics of old buildings, composition of old surface treatment agents and their recognition, historical considerations in restoration, historical architectural trends, implementation of restoration work, laws and regulations, administrative procedure in authorization.
