- 3 ECTS
Objective
This course offers methodology and tools to structure maintenance domain as well as understand its relations to managerial problems and plant production economy. After participation to lecturers and hands-on exercises students are capable of applying the basic theories of maintenance, estimating the cost of maintenance and optimizing them against profitability, analyze the cause and effects of device condition deterioration and their impact on maintenance types and strategies, and plan the most suitable maintenance program to the mill environment. The students are also able to find the right balance between corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and use the computerized tools available for maintenance performance optimization.
After finishing the course the student is able to design effective maintenance strategies, programs and plans. Student is also familiar maintenance processes, their cost structure, variety of methods to optimize mill’s profitability, CMMS/EAM functionality and standardization.
