Objective

- Ability to use computers and information networks as efficient tools in core requirement and professional studies.
- Ability to use the main PC applications software.

Content

1. Information processing environment at Metropolia.
2. Basic concepts of information technology and computer science.
3. Binary and hexadecimal numbers and logical operations.
4. Word processing: formatting, mathematical equations, styles, graphics, pictures and tables.
5. Spreadsheets: formatting, formulas, functions and charts.
6. Presentations.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

40 % of the exam is right and most of the exercises are done.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

60 % of the exam is right and most of the exercises are done.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

80 % of the exam is right and all of the exercises are done.
