User Interfaces in AutomationLaajuus (5 ECTS)
Course unit code: TD00AB55
General information
- Credits
- 5 ECTS
Objective
Students are able to designate the characteristics of user interfaces and design methods. Students are able to interface to the control systems and is familiar with the interface design. Students are able to design automation, user interfaces, connect to the user interface and control system design process as well as between the pictures and displays.
The course which prepares the user interface design of a flow sensor and process automation applications. The course will be thoroughly discussed and used in the lecture / lab exercises used in the automation of user interface design tools. Hands-on lab exercises are control room operations planning tasks, which are designed user interfaces and laboratory process control automation devices and PLCs. After completing this course students will master the most common design tools, criteria and are able to design user interfaces for various design automation tools.
