Objective

The students can compare solubility of polar and nonpolar compounds and can compare properties of acids and bases. The students can write the equation for combustion reaction and give reasons for spontaniety in electrochemical reactions.
The students will undestand the basic concepts of chemistry and can apply them in their own professional field.

Content

Structure of matter, amount of substance, solubility, acids and basics, pH, electrochemistry, corrosion, voltage sources, electrolysis, batteries, environmental aspect, sustainable development.
