Student gets to know and understand legislation related to public transport, the basic rules related to planning, organizing and competitive tendering of public transport, is familiar with the parties involved into public transport system in Helsinki area, all kind of transport equipment, travel card and telematic solutions as well as get to know companies in this business branch

Statistics of public transport by various mode of travel, terms of public transport, organizing and licensed transport of passengers, forms of subvention, fare subsidy, buyer – producer -parties, planning and developing of public transport service and route network, bus and tram priority at traffic signals, public transport telematic functions as real time passenger information and the schedule monitoring, travel card system, depot activities, interest groups and the most important companies in business branch, personnel management, busses, trams and metro, use of alternative fuel (electricity or gas)
