Objective
The students will be familiar with the importance of juridical regulation in the society .They will also be able to assess the effects of the legal system on business operations. They will learn the outlines of the Finnish judicial system in force and the duties and the division of work of the most important officials. They will study the basic concepts of civil law and in addition, they will learn to take into account the importance of agreements and risks involved in business.
The students will be able to acquire juridical information from different sources and write documents and reports. Their critical thinking will increase in demanding problem solving and argumentation.
Content
The importance of juridical regulation in the society, the outlines of the Finnish judicial system, sources of law and making judicial judgments, the EU organs and the decision making process, the essential content of civil law for different fields: law concerning persons, law of obligations, especially regulations of essential agreements and law of property.
The outlines of family law and the law of inheritance, the duties and the division of work of the most important officials.
