Sourcing from AsiaLaajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

Understanding International Sourcing (IS) strategy, sourcing planning from China, sources
of quality problems and solutions of quality control in sourcing from China, Asian logistics
and transport infrastructures. One aim of the course is to get the students acquainted
with the dimensions of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in sourcing. Also, Case studies
and Examples are central aims of this course.

Content

The course introduces the students to global approach on Asian sourcing and supply
chain management activities. The objective of the course is to classify various types
of sourcing, to suggest different suitable sourcing choices and to examine the paths
leading to effective sourcing channels from China and other Asia-Pacific countries.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The grading scale of the course is 0 (fail) - 5 (excellent).

The course will be arranged as an intensive weekend course (24 lecture hours). You are
