Arranging 3Laajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The student is able to use all the modern instruments and different instrument combinations when making arrangements for a big band, a large pops orchestra or symphony orchestra, a brass band etc. He/she has a command of the most common writing techniques and is able to use them naturally and musically in his/her own arrangements.

The student:
• has participated in lessons as agreed
• has done the required exercises
• can work independently
• can write for string and percussion instruments, and woodwinds and brass in different combinations
• has made the score for the final arrangement satisfactorily
