Objective

The objective is that students get an overall view of theory and ear training pedagogy and of the material used in teaching and are able to prepare exercises and analysis assignments from each area for the levels 1/3-3/3. Students learn to use different methods of teaching creatively as required in different situations, are able to integrate the subject into educational and musical unities, gain the facilities for continual acquisition, development, and application of pedagogic knowledge and for the production of teaching material and become qualified to teach pop/jazz theory and ear training on the 1/3-3/3 levels.

Content

- Advanced study of the objectives of teaching level-specific subjects, as well as their influence on the choice of teaching methods and material
- Detailed pedagogic examination of the subjects and application of cognitive and constructive pedagogy, preparation of exercises in each subject, becoming familiar with teaching aids and teaching material
- Producing your own teaching material
- Motivation and integration practice
- Preparation of lessons
- Introduction to examinations and their evaluation, preparation of examinations, observing teaching and learning, preparation of lesson plans, period plans and annual plans
- Prepared and unprepared teaching demonstrations
- Practical teacher training and feedback discussions

Qualifications

Suitable theory courses, Music Pedagogy. Student teaching placement 1 (theory teacher) must be done simultaneously with this subject pedagogy course.
