Objective

The student is able to integrate his/her knowledge with other pedagogic studies and apply the methods he/she has learned when teaching pop/jazz music. The student gains a clear idea of the professional objectives and the school's policies for different styles of music, and understands the meaning of the pedagogy and music courses in the overall study program. The student gains a general view of the objectives, teaching methods and special characteristics applicable to the teaching of technique and theory of different instruments.

- The fundamental philosophy of music education in music schools' culture
- Pedagogic examination of central musical subjects
- Music aesthetics
- Evaluation of music schools' culture
- Examination of central questions related to music eduation (panel discussion)

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The assessment is based on the student’s work during the course, his/her skills and knowledge at the completion of the course, and his/her ability to reach the set objectives.
