Orchestral Leading ProjectLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The student can deepen his/her knowledge and skills in orchestral conducting in practice, and after completing the course, is able to independently plan and rehearse a concert program with all the associated arrangements.

Content

- Rehearsing an orchestra, big band, choir, wind ensemble, etc.
- Preparing a concert repertoire for performance
- Conducting a concert or a part of a concert.

Qualifications

Arranging 3 and Ear Training 3 courses can be taken simultaneously with Orchestral Leading Project.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student:
• has completed training as agreed
• has carried out the agreed tasks
• is able to work independently
• is able to plan, prepare, rehearse and lead an orchestral concert or part of a concert

Qualifications: Conducting a concert or a part of a concert.
Band Pedagogy 3 course can be taken simultaneously with Orchestral Leading Project.
