Attending Teaching and Musical EventsLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

The student develops him/herself as a teacher and musician by attending teaching events, course examinations and entrance examinations and by going to concerts and other similar public musical events.

Content

In order to be credited for this course, students must attend 40 teaching events, course examinations or entrance examinations (45 minutes each) and 20 musical events during their studies. To prove their attendance, students have to complete a separate list of 'teaching and musical events attended', indicating the date, place and subject of each teaching event and the signature and contact information of the teacher, as well as the date and place of each concert or other event, the performer(s), the nature of the event and the signature and contact information of a performer or a representative of the party arranging the event. Attending of teaching may include a maximum of 10 lessons given by student teachers in the practical teacher training groups but may not include courses associated with the students' own studies. After attending 40 teaching events and 20 musical events, students submit the completed list to the Head of Degree Program, who will grant credit for the course.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

A student:
- paricipate to lessons, examination- or entrance exam sessions, in total 40 (a'45min)
- events should be recorded on a separate form, including an event place, date, the topic and teacher's signature
-the student must watch 20 music events (concerts/matinees,organized by department)
- events should be recorded on a separate form, including an event place, date, performer and teacher's signature
