Objective

The student understands the multi-dimensional nature of electronic media and is able to apply its elements. The student understands the importance of team work and carries out his/her own responsibilities in a team. Upon completion the student will recognise several Finnish and international web publications. He/she is familiar with the different stages when creating a web magazine from a graphic design and marketing point of view. The student explores web marketing and recognises different advertising form recommendations. He/she will be able to design, produce, test and publish a web magazine and produce adverts according to recommendations.

-student explores different Finnish and international web publications
-student explores interface design, visuality, typography, and different article types published on the web
-web communications and interaction, how to use it in expression
-different stages of creating a web magazine, from defining to designing, implementation, testing and publishing from a graphic designer's point of view
-web magazine project as a group assignment
-web advertising, advertising forms
