Introduction to Film SoundLaajuus (6 ECTS)

Objective

In the compulsory course in sound design, the goal is to understand the production process of sound in fiction films and practise technical and production skills needed in making a soundtrack.

Content

Students familiarise themselves with the different stages of the production process from the perspective of sound design. Students will familiarise themselves with field recording, sound transfer, synchronisation and postproduction. The emphasis is on acquiring technical skills. Acquired skills will be used in the courses Fiction Film Exercises and Fiction Film Production 1.
