Objective

Students in the degree programme know the legislation and basics of medication. They take part in the administration of medication for old people within the rights granted by the education. Students are also familiar with special issues related to the medication of the elderly.

Basics of medication and legislation related to it. Different modes of administering medicines. Administering medicines and medication round. Effects of most common medicines. Jurisdiction in medication. Acquiring and preserving medicines. Medical dosage calculations. Practice 1 cr.
