Objective

Students are familiar with the theoretical foundations of social pedagogy and international trends. They recognise the values socio-pedagogical work is based on, as well as basic concepts of ethics and the ethical principles of the profession. Students are also aware of the significance of critical thinking.

Social pedagogy as a field of science, professionalism and learning. Foundation and development of social pedagogy. Central concepts of social pedagogy. Introduction to ethical thinking.

Students use the appropriate core concepts as well as make choices using the knowledge base of their own professional field. They recognise the prerequisites and consequences of their own actions.
