Objective
During the course, students consolidate their skills in planning and management of economic processes and in financial and management accounting in view of profitable business operations in (prevailing) variable competitive conditions. They develop their skills to analyse their clientele in order to be able to choose the most appropriate target groups for various market situations.
Students understand the diversity of communications equipment and its interactions when devising a communication strategy and they familiarise themselves with planning client-centred advertising.
Students understand the significance of quality in production processes, logistics and service provision alike and perceive it as an essential competitive differentiator for a business enterprise.
Students understand the basics of human resources management, labour legislation and key contents and objectives of modern management models.
Content
Marketing and marketing strategies, consumer protection, quality and construction of quality. HR administration, management, labour legislation, logistics in optometry, basics of business bookkeeping, profitability and cost management, key ratios of an optician's shop, contribution margin accounting, pricing, budgeting and business planning.
