Objective

Students are familiar with the accessory organs of the eye, the anatomy of the visual pathway and the functions of structures participating in image formation, understanding the significance of these to ocular functions and formation of visual perceptions. They possess an overview of vision and its relationship with other structures and functions of the body.

Content

The structures and functions of the eye and of its accessory organs. Ocular muscles, innervation, circulation, transmission of visual information, foundations of vision in the brain.
